about

lyrics

The old man lives on the next farm
and he's been farming far too long
He's got some misconceptions and
he thought my cows should all be dead

So i'm taking him down to my local deity
to cast his wrath down on my thoughtless neighbor
With a thunder crash and a lightning bolt

It occurs to me security
is simply unattainable
as flowers in the back yard watered grow

see how the lightning charges
hair stands on end as thunder roars on stormy
summer afternoons

The old man said his last goodbyes
he sold his things laid down and died
He had some misconceptions then
That the words could not be said

So he's taking me down to the local deity
to cast his wrath down on his thoughtless neighbor
with a thunder crash and a lightning bolt

and a flow of continuity
is simply undesirable
as scholars in the quest of knowledge grow

see how the lightning charges
hair stands on end as thunder roars on stormy
summer afternoons
